Here’s the Story behind the Fish

Years ago, a Swedish guy and a Taiwanese-Canadian girl were both studying Japanese in Tokyo. While the Swedish guy were studying kanji(the way of writing Japanese using Chinese characters), he got to learn about the Taiwanese-Canadian-girl’s last name in Chinese character.

“Oh! So you’re a Hugfish”, he said.

The story did not end there.

The two got married in 2014. They lived in Japan for many years while traveling to Taiwan multiple times every year.

The Taiwanese-Canadian girl loooves food and everything about it. The Swedish guy loooves his home country and wants to bring all the cool things that he saw while living abroad back to Sweden.

Now, the Swedish guy and the Taiwanese-Canadian girl live in Stockholm. The Taiwanese-Canadian girl dreams of creating multiple restaurants in Sweden so that she could make people in Sweden delicious delicious delicious (in Taiwan, this is how people emphasize important things, by saying it three times) food. As a start, the Canadian-Taiwanese girl went and bought a food truck.

The Swedish guy and the Taiwanese-Canadian girl both want to make Sweden more fun. They want to see affordable delicious food all around you. Let’s hope that their dream will come true in a very near future!
